Letter from Nepal
Hi Trish and Libby so here I am in muggy rainy Kathmandu!!! so far so good…. I had trouble free flights and no dramas with extra baggage etc…they didnt even blink at it….straight through!! today is my second full day and Im feeling normal again…always takes a bit to get the body clock in swing etc Bikash came to meet me yesterday and we went out to “megs” …. I was suprised at how big it is and how nice the area is…all the rice fields growing right up to the fence!!! The children were in school so I sat and talked with Bikash and one of the ladies whose name I forget alreay… Im HOPELESS with the weird pronunciations… gotta work on that!!!! I am SO impressed by Bikash! WHAT an AMAZING man… trish you are sooooo luckey to have found him…. his heart is in the right place… this is all about love and creating a home not a house and a family for thses kids…. his ideas and plans and vision and hopes not only for the kids and orphanage but even nepal are quite inspiring…… he is very special.. and the kids adore him as I saw when we walked to the school and met them walking back… lots of hugs… even for me!!! I met the principal and he wants me to give a little talk on australia…. yikes! better think of something interesting!!!!! sorry about the typing… dodgy computer!!! Bikash was soooo happy with the laptop…so gtrateful….he cant believe the generosity of Australia etc…we left the kids things until I return as they have had a fair amount of goodies recently from the finnish volunteers….. I am really looking forward to my week there…bikash seems to think it is possible to build the chook shed….so Im wrapped….that will be a busy time…..I have kept the money for safe keeping until I return as we didnt have time to pay stuff yesterday….. The kids all asked me if I was a friend of mother trish and how far I lived from you…… they LOVE you Its an amazing thing you have done trish…. well will email after my trek and once Im at “megs…… namasteto you both deb x
